What's Next for METRO?

Train Car Traffic

What's next for METRO? It's up to you.

We don't have a plan, but we're developing one, and we want to hear from you. We have been hosting  open houses across the city to receive feedback from you to guide us on our METRONext Plan. Earlier today, we conducted one at Acres Homes. We have 14 more open houses throughout the city scheduled for this month and August. The next one is Tuesday, July 25, at White Oak Conference Center on Antoine Drive.

Come to an open house and give us your ideas. How can we improve mobility? What can we do to make connections easier and smoother? What steps can we take to create vibrant communities? And how can we make sure that everything we do gets the most bang for the buck?

Our guiding principles for METRONext are safety, equity, accessibility and stewardship.

Developing the METRONext Plan will take about 18 months. We invite you to share your vision and help us build a system that best serves Houston's residents, businesses and visitors. If you can't make it to an open house near you, please fill out this survey to give us your feedback.

Get more details about METRONext, and then help shape our transit for the future.
