Kick Off Summer with Free Rides

SummerOfFunPass.jpg

Although we've been sweltering in our usual 90-degree heat for days now, today marks the official first day of summer, and we've got the best summer gift for the kids.

METRO is offering its Summer of Fun Pass – a pass that gives free rides to students from K through 12. The new METRO Summer of Fun Pass can take kids to all the cool places they may want to travel all summer – for free.

The pass looks just like our regular METRO Q®  Fare Card – but it's programmed to give free rides through Sept. 1. After that, kids can keep the card and load money on it – and they will get 50 percent off regular fares. The pass automatically converts to a Student METRO Q® Fare Card.

There are three ways to apply for the Summer of Fun Pass: online, by mail or in person at one of our RideStores at 1900 Main or 1001 Travis.

Get a pass, and bring your student with you on the bus or train. Check out our Google-powered Trip Planner to get specific buses or trains. Then leave the driving to us and enjoy the city in the summer – from concerts to parks to museums to restaurants.

METRO is your ticket to summer fun – and we'll get your student there for free.
