Event: "Momoko Seto: Planet." Experience this dystopian tale by Japanese filmmaker and artist Seto. In this futuristic scenario, nature has gone wild and invaded the Earth. This short film uses virtual reality to depict the restoration of life in a post-human landscape. This will change the way you look at our world, plants and animals. Free.

When: Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Moody Center for the Arts at Rice University, 6100 Main St.

METRORail: Red LIne - exit Hermann Park/Rice University

Bus: 84 Buffalo Speedway, 27 Shepherd

Event: "Flea by Night." Get off the couch and take the family on a treasure hunt at this unique nighttime market in downtown Houston. It features artful kitsch, vintage items, mid-century modern furniture and repurposed items by local artisans. Free.

When: Saturday, 6 to 10 p.m.

Where: Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney St.

Getting there*:

METRORail: Green and Purple Lines – exit Convention District Station

Bus: 40 Telephone/Heights, 41 Kirby/Polk

Event: "Pipeline." Playwright Dominique Morisseau unwraps the tale of an inner-city public high school teacher committed to her students but determined to give her only son a chance his peers will never have. When a crisis occurs at his private school and threatens to get him expelled, the son must deal with his rage and the mother with her own choices.

When: Friday, 8 p.m.; Saturday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sunday, 3 p.m.  (Runs through June 2).

Where: The Ensemble Theatre, 3535 Main St.
