This weekend we're highlighting two free, fun festivals to enjoy in Bayou City when our temperatures are still mild. One will appeal to art lovers – and the other will keep your kids thoroughly entertained. When you're ready to relax indoors, check out a play that will keep you in stitches.

Event: Bayou City Art Festival. This annual event produced by Art Colony Association Inc. features booths from 300 artists and 19 disciplines of art. It's a fun family day, complete with food trucks, live music and a children's zone. It's a great way to pick up some one-of-a-kind art.

When: Friday, Saturday & Sunday – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Memorial Park, South Picnic Lane

Event: The McDonald's Houston Children's Festival. The nation's biggest children's festival benefits Child Advocates Inc., a nonprofit which helps abused and neglected children.  Meet the actor Anthony Gonzalez, who voices the animated character Miguel in the Disney film, "Coco." He'll be performing on-stage, as well as signing autographs both days of the festival.  You'll find five stages of music and entertainment and 14 family adventure areas. No one will be bored with more than 300 activities for the family.

When: Saturday & Sunday, 10: 30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where: Downtown Houston in the area surrounding City Hall, Hermann Square, Houston Public Library Plaza, Sam Houston Park and Tranquility Park. 901 Bagby

Event: "The Play that Goes Wrong."  This award-winning comedy turns a classic murder mystery into a tale of laughter, full of mishaps and antics. It's opening night of "The Murder at Haversham Manor," and things quickly disinstegrate as the leading lady falls unconscious, a corpse can't play dead, and actors fumble over each other and their lines.

When: Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Where: Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, 800 Bagby St.
