Event: The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green. Some of us can remember strapping on skates under our tennis shoes and tottering down our neighborhood streets. Now, you can practice your smooth moves on the city's first outdoor roller rink. It's open from Friday until April 21 and includes music programmed to theme nights – Top 40, 1980s vibes and 90s tunes. On a budget? Cheap skate nights on Monday are only $8, including skate rentals.

Event: Death by Natural Causes. If you think a spider or snake bite could be fatal, take a look at everyday household items. This exhibit introduces you to a range of animal, vegetable and mineral dangers that lurk all around us – including mushrooms and other common foods. This exhibit has been so popular, the museum has extended it through Labor Day.

Event: Roni Horn: When I Breathe, I Draw.To world-renowned American artist Horn, drawing is like breathing. In this two-part series, selected drawings from the 1980s until the present explore the artist's approach to using dense hues of pure pigment with cutting and reassembling images.
