Created from recycled water from Discovery Green's Kinder Lake, the rink offers skating to live music, DJs and even outdoor movies. There's a toddler rink for ages 4 and under for kids under 45 inches tall.

Event: Gingerbread Sweet Shop. Check out this life-size Santa's Gingerbread Sweet Shop, made from 800 pounds of gingerbread, 1,000 pounds of chocolate, 800 pounds of sugar and 300 pounds of candy. This visual delight weighs more than 2.5 tons and contains 7.6 million calories. You'll see full-chocolate deer and children playing in the yard, hand-painted with more than 725 pounds of tinted white and milk chocolate. Artwork from the kitchen makes for some fun photos, including selfies. Free.

Event: A Christmas Carol – A Ghost Story of Christmas. You've got the grandkids for the holidays, and you're looking to create special memories? We could all learn from the takeaway of redemption and the spirit of the holiday season.
