It's finally starting to feel like fall in H-town, making this an ideal weekend to spend time outdoors. We've got two free events - a beautiful sculpture garden for you to explore and an outdoor movie experience for the whole family. Plus, the little ones can see the world's most curious monkey and his friend in the yellow hat on stage.
We make it easy to explore all your weekend outings with METRO. It's only $1.25 each way and free for seniors 70 or older, as well as kids five and younger. Students and those 65 to 69 ride half price. And when you let METRO do the driving, you save money on parking and gas, too.
Event: MFA Cullen Sculpture Garden. Rediscover masterpieces as you walk through the newly renovated garden, a pathway between the new Brown Foundation Plaza at the Glassell School of Art and the front door of the MFAH's Caroline Wiess Law Building. This hidden space features Henri Matisse's quartet of "Back" reliefs, Emile-Antoine Bourdelle's pensive "Adam" and Aristide Maillol's elegant "Flora, Nude" among the 28 sculptures.
You can even listen to the museum's Spotify playlist as you stroll through the oasis.
