How to Rope a Ride on METRO

The world's largest rodeo is coming to town – and METRO can help you get there stress-free.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo starts with the World's Championship Bar-b-que Contest on Feb. 22 and ends March 18. Avoid trying to navigate traffic and find that elusive parking spot. Simply take one of our round-trip shuttles to the rodeo. We have four locations where you can park your car free and then hop on the shuttle: Maxey Road Park & Ride, Monroe Park & Ride, West Loop Transit Center, and North Shepherd Park & Ride.

The shuttles will drop you off right at NRG Park.  Shuttles going into NRG Park start at 5 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. weekends. The last shuttles leaving NRG Park depart at 1 a.m., Sunday to Thursday, and 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. That leaves you plenty of time to party at the rodeo and ride back safely with METRO.

You can also park at our Fannin South Transit Center, pay $20 cash, and every passenger receives a round-trip rail ticket. Hop on the train and ride one stop to NRG Park.

We're extending our METRORail hours during the rodeo. It's only $1.25 and kids under age five ride free.
