It's another year, and we're back with more events to keep you busy and entertained. With the wintry weather we've been experiencing, I'm thinking warm and cozy for this weekend. Heat it up with some free Latin music and dancing (yes, you can dance, too!) at Discovery Green, think warm and purr-y at the annual charity cat show, and then take in the midnight showing of Blade Runner: The Final Cut with Harrison Ford and lots of action to keep you pumped up.
No matter what the weather, METRO will take you to your destination without worries about warming up the car or walking from a faraway parking place. The savings you'll accrue by using public transit versus driving will help you buy more of your favorite not-so-cheap coffee. Our Trip Planner will provide all the information you need to catch the right bus or train for your outing. Don't despair; this is Houston – it will be 80 degrees before you know it.
Event: Salsa in the Park. This event will warm up a chilly winter night. Enjoy an evening of Latin dance lessons and Latin music at Discovery Green. This free event is an annual presentation of the Houston Salsa Dancers, and features giveaways, shows, and music. Just put on your dancing shoes and show up.
